i wanted to blog... but as usual, i've forgotten what i wanted to say. except that i am getting mightily good at bullshitting people via email.

boss told a lie to the customer. and customer is asking me to give her a summary timeline and i dont even know what happened. and boss is in china. so i wrote a long email detailing out the summary of what happened. which is totally bullshit. none of it ever happened. :P and i forwarded it to the boss for approval. here's the bullshit:

Sept 2008 – received classifications approval from the customs
30 Sept 2008
– 1st submission of duty drawbacks to the customs using our letterhead on behalf
of ABC and photocopy of K1 forms
8 – 29 Oct 2008 – weekly call to the
customs to check with Customs on status – pending approval
5 Nov 2008 –
there was a change of officer in charge of this drawback and they need more time
look into the request.
19 Nov – 10 Dec 2008 - weekly call to the customs to
check with Customs on status – pending approval
22 Dec 2008 – the Customs
officer ask us to call back next month to check
5 Jan – 5 Feb 2009 - weekly
call to the customs to check with Customs on status – pending approval

Feb 2009 – Customs revert that our initial submission is ok but they require
more documentation like Hospitech’s bank details in ABC letterhead, original
copies of the K1 customs forms and payment for processing such request.

Feb 2009 – Submitted the required additional documents to customs
3 Mar 2009
– Checked with customs on the status and was informed they are are still
checking.

There was a delay in this duty drawback exercise due to the
year end multi holidays. We initially submitted the documents under our
letterhead as we needed to check if such drawback is possible or not and it does
not require any payment for checking. Once we have received confirmation from
the customs that we can proceed provided we give them more supporting documents,
we immediately contacted ABC and XYZ to get all these documents.
